Intended to do 20 for my last long run. The day was perfect. Temp in the lower 60's, breezy, wispy clouds overhead. Unfortunately my run was anything but perfect. At mile 2 things just were not going right. It was a struggle the whole way. My legs ached and I just felt lousy. I had my flu shot on Friday. I don't know if that was a factor or what. Kind of a downer, not sure how this marathon is going to go.

Taper time, CC meets the next 2 Saturdays. Both meets are down by the Twin Cities. Lots of travel time.

I'm sorry things didn't go according to plan. That can be a blow to confidence. So the race is in 3 weeks? 2 weeks?

Either way, that's still plenty of time to shake it off!

Good luck at those meets! All that travel is one of the things I like least about XC, but it must be done!

The marathon is in 2 weeks (Oct. 3). We have a meet down that way on Sat. then Ron and I will leave from there and head into Minneapolis, pick up packet, and stay with his bro. Good luck with your doc. appt. today. Hoping all is well.
