Had a Dr. appt. so I went in early and ran with the team. We have some new ones and they are young. Yea! Temp is in the 70's and humid. I don't have any races planned this summer except for a local 5K or 10K. I am going to try and concentrate on increasing my mileage this summer. That's my short term goal. Long term: I turn the big 50 in Oct. so I would really like to do something different next summer. I have been seriously looking at the Leadville Heavy Half in Colorado. Just not sure I want to run 15 miles at 10,000 ft. It would be awesome if I could pull it off. Ugh.  I also would like to do the Flying Pig Marathon in Ohio. I raised pigs in 4-H and FFA and I do have a soft spot for them. I would love to have a t-shirt with a flying pig. ( I am all about the t-shirts) :)

No way you are turning 50! Like I said before- you've got some serious good anti-aging genetics :) Sounds like you have a good plan for the next year. I really like planning races around vacations or celebrations. A big motivator for me last December in running the CIM was just to celebrate being done with the phd. I'm also all about the T-shirts AND I also have a soft spot for pigs, so the Flying Pig Marathon would be awesome. When my grandmother was alive she formed a local women's running group called 'The Piggies' and she had pig decor all over her house.. but not in the overly weird or obsessive sort of way though :) The Leadville Heavy Half trail race also sounds like fun too..it is awesome that there are so many fun races to choose from!
