How I long to wake up in the morning and hear the weather guy say "Sunny and highs in the 80's today!" Oh what a joyous morning that will be. We are at -8 and windchill 20 and 30 below. It never seems to end!

Treadmill:

Started out at 9:13 pace and gradually moved down to 8:20 pace for the last 3 1/2. Did some core work. I get so bored with weights and stretches and core stuff. I wish I didn't. It is so good to do, especially as I get (dare I say) older.

Weather guy just said we might hit 40 on Tuesday and Wednesday next week!!!!!! That 's above 0!!!!! He also said the last time we saw 40 was on Thanksgiving weekend.

Flood preparations hit high gear starting Monday.

I definitely don't envy you and your weather. 40 degrees would be nice. I heard a rumor that we're supposed to get up there too sometime in the near future.

I don't mind doing core work and stretching and stuff, but I find that sometimes I ignore it. I have found that I start a "I'm going to do strength/core work" schedule, and then let it slip after a few weeks. I've been more regular with it in the past year or so, but I would still like to get to the point where it is just in the routine, like running is. But that's hard :)
