I intended to run yesterday. We had storms during the night and we knew that the town Jared and Jen live in got a lot of rain. Called them at 6 am yesterday and sure enough they had a flooded basement. The sump pump wasn't shutting off which probably kept the water from getting higher. We removed all the soggy carpet and disinfected the floor. It was only rain water, thankfully not sewage. What a mess. Got that done and called my dad as it was beastly hot and I worry about him turning off his air conditioner. He needed to go to Wal-Mart, so ran in and took him there. Had a meeting last night. End of story.

Temp is 93, humidity is at "ugh" level. Ran 4 on the TM @ around a 9:00 pace. Biked 3.5 and called it good. Just not feeling it today. I am so over all this water. We have roads still closed. Minot and Bismarck have a long road ahead of them in their recovery. All the rivers up here are still at or just above flood stage. And this is the middle of July! Towns are threatened. And then I turn on the news and see Texas just drying up. It is heartbreaking. I wish we had a way to send some of our water their way. End of pity party. Stay cool out there. :)
